13-16. September 2017.
It is an honor and pleasure for the Turkish Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (TACBT) to welcome you to the 47th Annual Congress of the European Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT'17) which will be held in Ljubljana on September 13 - 16, 2017.
The theme of the congress reflects the central motive of the event that is to bridge dissemination with good practice. Our theme is chosen on the opinion that dissemination of CBT is highly important but dissemination of good practice is vital. It is time to discuss the core principles and foundations of good practice and how to make it more accessible for practitioners as well as our clients.
The TACBT with EABCT will deliver a high quality congress which hopefully will turn out to be a memorable event both scientifically and socially. As we believe that the scientific success of a congress depends on the contribution of the delegates, we hope that many of you will be able to get actively involved in the congress. The programme will cover all areas of behavioural and cognitive therapies including innovative and controversial developments and will certainly give emphasis on child and adolescent psychology as well.
We have no doubt that the charm of Ljubljana and the fine scientific programme will make the difference between an ordinary congress and a truly memorable experience. We are grateful for the generous positive feedback we have always received following the past international CBT congresses organised by the TACBT. This makes the upcoming event even more challenging in order to excel the success of previous ones.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Ljubljana to share professional experiences and opinions regarding good practice of CBT as well as meeting old friends and making new ones.
Let's hope to meet in Ljubljana in September 2017.
World Congress of Behaviour and Cognitive Therapy Congress
July 17-20. 2019, Berlin
The European Association of Behaviour and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT) has the pleasure of submitting a proposal to host the World Congress of Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy in 2019. EABCT is an organisation with a membership of 48 European CBT association’s and 3 associate members from outside of Europe. These associations have a combined membership of over 25,000 CBT therapists who come from 36 European countries and make it the largest and most diverse CBT umbrella association in the world.
EABCT has a long history and proven record of hosting successful international congresses on behaviour and cognitive therapy. The first WCBCT Congress was held in Copenhagen in 1995. 12 years later EABCT hosted the 2007 World Congress in Barcelona that was attended by over 3,000 delegates. 2019 will be another 12 years since the congress was held in Europe and EABCT is keen to once again welcome CBT therapists and researchers from across the world.
EABCT’s membership has the scientific and clinical expertise to make the 2019 congress a success and explore the future development of cognitive and behaviour therapy across the world and across all aspects of health and social care in the 21st Century.
EABCT can guarantee to attract well in excess of the 3,000 delegates we achieved in Barcelona in 2007. We also anticipate a wider representation from across all continents and will build on the success of the EABCT Annual Congress in Marrakech in 2013 which attracted delegates from over 60 countries.
